    What is Ibogaine?

    Ibogaine is a naturally occurring compound found in the roots of the African shrub Iboga, and it has been used for centuries in spiritual and healing ceremonies. More recently, it has gained interest from the medical and scientific communities for its potential to treat opioid and cocaine addiction, and research has suggested that it increases signaling of several important molecules within the brain, some of which have been linked to drug addiction and depression.

    Ibogaine works differently than other drug treatments; it resets receptors in the brain and normalizes brain function. Ibogaine’s metabolite Noribogaine decreases or eliminates cravings and removes the overwhelming compulsion to use drugs, for approximately 1-4 months following treatment.

    Our medical staff are board-certified physicians, who are carefully selected for their backgrounds in emergency medicine and focus on critical care. Prior to joining Bassé Clinic, every member of our medical team has undergone extensive training in Ibogaine treatment, and many have experienced the medicine themselves. We are a 6 bed facility with beautifully appointed single rooms, each with a king sized bed, balcony and private bathroom, a luscious and inviting pool, a beautiful indoor/outdoor dining and recreation area, and lots of space to enjoy the natural surroundings. We feature 5 star boutique service combined with a completely safe and expertly-operated facility.
