Audrey Jover
Traditional Bwiti Advisor

AUDREY JOVER

Audrey comes from a long lineage of Gabonese Bwiti female healers, with both her mother and grandmother revered as Nimas (Bwiti Shamans) within their community. Raised between Africa and the West, she embodies a rare blend of cultural perspectives, allowing her to bridge worlds and guide individuals on profound healing journeys.

Her path was ignited by a deep ancestral calling following the passing of her mother, Séraphine, a respected Nima, who wished to be laid to rest in her village in Medouneu, Gabon. This led Audrey on a transformative journey back to her roots, where she was initiated into the Bwiti tradition by her aunt, Mamou, also a Nima. Through this experience, she embraced her true identity and purpose, stepping into her role as a Nganga (healer and facilitator of Traditional Bwiti Iboga ceremonies). Audrey is the visionary behind Bwiti Roots, a non-profit dedicated to preserving and protecting Bwiti culture, supporting local Bwiti communities, and ensuring the ethical use of Iboga. She upholds the traditional ways of her Fang lineage, ensuring that initiations and ceremonies remain authentic and rooted in ancestral wisdom.

As an advisor, Audrey brings a wealth of experience in traditional Bwiti healing and practices, cross-cultural integration, and spiritual facilitation from a Bwiti perspective. Her deep connection to both the physical and spiritual realms ensures that those she guides are met with integrity, clarity, and the wisdom of generations before her.’
